Shriners Summer Farm Tour

This past summer, we had an opportunity to host members of the investment and Real estate committees as well as staff of Shriners Hospitals for Children to the Pacific Northwest to review several of their farms and tour the wheat production area.

The tour included meeting with farm tenants, reviewing the crop rotation, learning the history of the many farms that have been donated to them over the years, and a harvest ride on a hillside combine.

The Shriners have deep roots in the Pacific Northwest from the world class healthcare that they provide in their children’s hospitals (location in Spokane) to many high quality farms and ranch-land that provide income to help support their mission. They have proven to have a very long term outlook on agriculture and farmland ownership as well as a deep seated philosophy that includes proactive management and stewardship for the land.

The Shriners works to honor the legacy of every family or individual who decides to donate land to their endowment and foster a commitment that can be counted on year in and year out.
